Socket Unveils KwikBlue Module Development Kit.

Socket Communications Inc.'s Development Services group launched its KwikBlue Module Development Kit. The kit supports Socket's new KwikBlue Module with Bluetooth wireless technology, said the company. The KwikBlue modules can be combined with Socket's Windows CE protocol stack and value-added integration services to all companies to add short-range Bluetooth wireless connectivity to their products.

The kit allows developers to access Bluetooth 2.0+EDR features provided by the Cambridge Silicon Radio BC04 chipset including enhanced data rate, adaptive frequency hopping and extended SCO support. The kit provides an adapter board, Bluetooth stack software development tools, reference documentation and support hardware.
